Official, for-credit courses that appear in the Time Schedule are automatically provisioned in Canvas and made available as early as two quarters in advance or as soon as they are created by departmental time schedule coordinators. Such courses do not need to be requested.
To request a Canvas course, follow these steps:
- Check the Canvas Use Policy to determine whether your desired use of Canvas is appropriate and supported. If your course does not meet the terms of the Canvas use policy, please contact help@uw.edu for recommendations of technology solutions that will meet your needs.
- If you believe your course does meet the terms of the Canvas Use Policy, please contact help@uw.edu and include the following information in your course request:
- Your UW NetID
- Reason for requesting a Canvas course (from Canvas Use Policy)
A member of the UW support staff will contact you within two business days to advise you as to next steps.
