If you have been using CommonView for course web sites, learn how to export content from CommonView for later adding to Canvas. Plan to allow four to six hours to completely migrate content.

Can I get help transitioning to new tools?

UW-IT is unable to migrate content for individual users. Individuals must plan to migrate any required content to the new tool of choice. However, UW-IT will provide alternatives, documentation and workshops to help export and archive data.

The Canvas Learning Management System supports online teaching and learning course activities. Canvas information and help resources are available here.

If you have been using CommonView for course web sites, learn how to export content from CommonView for later adding to Canvas. Plan to allow four to six hours to completely migrate content.

Community of Practice

If you have used Catalyst Web Tools for non-academic purposes, we encourage you to check out the Productivity Solutions Community of Practice. Join with your colleagues to share your knowledge and learn clever uses of the wide range of tools and platforms available at the UW. Beginning August 21, we’ll meet monthly in Odegaard 102 for presentations, discussion and hands-on exercises. We will continue to support each other throughout the month by contributing content, participating in online discussions, and accessing shared resources on one of our collaboration platforms. Our vision is to create a rewarding and enjoyable community that supports individual growth and development while advancing the mission of the UW and the success of our constituent organizations.
