Feedback Fruits’ Peer Feedback Tools: Autumn 2022 — Spring 2023
Peer Review
Feedback Fruits Peer Review is fully integrated with Canvas and allows individual or groups of students to review one or more artifacts submitted by classmates. Artifacts can include a wide range of file types, including documents, websites, audio and video. Tool features include: automatic or customizable allocation of reviews to individuals or groups, customizable criteria or rubrics, configurable grading, and options for anonymity and self-assessment.
Group Member Evaluation
Feedback Fruits Group Member Evaluation (GME) is also fully integrated with Canvas. GME allows students to evaluate the behaviors and contributions of fellow group members, or of any individuals or groups (helpful for skill review, live performances or presentations). Tool features are the same or similar to those for Peer Review.
Based on feedback we collected from instructors and students during winter and spring 2023, as well as consideration of additional evaluation criteria, UW-IT added Feedback Fruits’ Peer Review and Group Member Evaluation to its collection of centrally supported tools for teaching and learning in summer 2023.
