Storage limits coming to UW Google
Effective June 11, 2024, UW Google accounts will be subject to a storage limit of 100GB, per changes to Google’s Workspace for Education product. Most users are well below this limit and will not be adversely affected by UW-IT’s implementation of storage quotas.
Free captioning training and services available for your videos
Apply to get your high-impact videos captioned without charge by UW-IT’s Accessible Technology Services. Many of UW’s videos made by various groups for YouTube are not captioned, or rely on YouTube’s auto-generated captions, which are most often not accurate enough.

Originally developed as a reference for UW-IT, the IT Inclusive Language Guide explains why some common words and phrases in IT can be problematic and suggests more inclusive alternatives.
