Adobe Creative Cloud

Overview

Adobe Creative Cloud is a subscription based software service that gives users access to a collection of software developed by Adobe for graphic design, video editing, web development, photography, and cloud services. Applications can be ordered individually or as a suite (Creative Cloud). The following applications are available for individual order:

  • Audition
  • Muse
  • Animate
  • Captivate
  • InCopy
  • Photoshop
  • Lightroom
  • Illustrator
  • Premiere Pro
  • Acrobat Pro
  • InDesign
  • After Effects
  • Dreamweaver

The Creative Cloud suite includes all of these applications as well as some not available for individual licensing, such as:

  • Experience Design
  • Prelude
  • SpeedGrade
  • and many more

Program Details

Adobe Creative Cloud applications are available as an annual subscription, with the license period running from July 1 through June 30. Purchases made after July will be prorated monthly.

Applications are available individually or as a suite assigned to either a named user or a specific device with discrete pricing for each category.

Named user licenses are assigned to an individual, may only be installed on two devices and are only available to that user.

Device licenses are typically for a lab or other shared computer environment and may be installed on a single device where the application(s) is/are available to all users of that device.

Pricing is as follows:

Named user license Creative Cloud (all applications) $282

Eligibility

  • Available to all faculty and staff with authorization from budget approver using valid budget number.
  • Procurement cards and direct sales to individuals are not available at this time.

How to Order

To purchase a Named User license, send a message to help@uw.edu, set the subject to “Adobe Creative Cloud licenses”. Please include in your email:

  • The name and UW email address of the person using the application
  • The application(s) you wish to purchase.
  • Budget contact person, name and UW email address
  • Budget contact UW mailstop
  • UW budget # (with task, option, project codes, in that order, if you use them)

To purchase a Device License, send a message to help@uw.edu, set the subject to “Adobe Creative Cloud licenses”. Please include in your email:

  • The name (and UW NetID) of the administrator of the device
  • The application(s) you wish to purchase and the number of licenses for each application
  • Budget contact person, name and UW email address
  • Budget contact UW mailstop
  • UW budget # (with task, option, project codes, in that order, if you use them)

For bulk ordering of both, named user and a device license, we’ve included a link to a spreadsheet for your convenience. When you open the file, please select the tab for either named user or a device license, select a product from the drop-down menu and fill out the remaining fields.

Please send the completed spreadsheet as attachment to help@uw.edu with the subject “Adobe Creative Cloud licenses”.
