The UW Directory is a website that allows the UW community and others to search for basic contact information about members of the UW community.
What information is included in the UW Directory?
The UW Directory includes basic contact information such as name and email address, phone number, box number, title and department, class and major, and UW NetID.
Who is included in the UW Directory?
UW faculty, staff, and retirees are included if they choose to publish information in the UW Directory. UW students are included if they choose to release directory information.
How do I change the way my name appears?
Students and employees can update their preferred name using Identity.UW.
How is inclusion managed?
Employees control whether or not they are included in the UW Directory using Identity.UW.
Students control whether or not they are included using Student Personal Services.
Who can search the UW Directory?
Employee information is available to anyone, but student and UW NetID information is only available to members of the UW community.
Where does the information come from?
The UW Directory uses a person’s preferred name, as set on Identity.UW.
Employee information comes from Workday.
Student information comes from Student Personal Services.
