Artificial Intelligence

Last updated: October 14, 2024

National Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a time to reflect on the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on our daily lives and academic experiences. AI is not only transforming the tactics of cyber criminals but also influencing the way we detect and respond to cyber threats.

Staying informed about the risks and benefits of AI can help protect your personal information and UW’s institutional data. This month, a series of events from the Office of Information Security and the AI Task Force will spark a University-wide conversation on AI in teaching, learning, student success, research, administration, and more.

What’s happening this month?

AI Task Force: Leading efforts to shape the future of AI at the university.

AI Interim Guidelines: Collaborative efforts to update the interim guidelines to ensure responsible use of AI technology.
