Overview
Note that PuTTY replaces Tera Term, which should no longer be used. Keynes (administrative system) users should use “SecureCRT”, see:

PuTTY allows the use of SSH (Secure Shell) to access a remote computer. It is a software terminal emulator that supports VT100 emulation, telnet, SSH, kerberos, and serial port connections. See the vendor’s website for additional information.
