UW Managed Print Services – Ricoh scan to email setup
A number of Nebula Departments have been acquiring Ricoh printers through the UW Managed Print Services (MPS) program.
There are a couple steps to do prior to setting up “scan-to-email” on the printer.
A Shared UW NetID account is recommended to setup the “scan-to-email” section. Go here to request a Shared UW NetID.
A “From” Account is needed as the reply address provided with the scan e-mail. This can be a user or departmental address.
Information required to setup “scan to email” correctly:
- Install Static p172 IP – https://itconnect.uw.edu/connect/uw-networks/network-addresses/private-address-routing/
- Configure DNS server – 184.108.40.206, 220.127.116.11 (Two entries required)
- “use secure ssl connection with SMTP” should be ON.
- “Encryption” is set to ‘AUTO’
