UW Units Use Google Drive for Storage, Not Just Collaboration
Two UW units are finding new ways to take advantage of the unlimited free storage space offered by Google Drive, which lets UW students, faculty and staff create, store, share and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets and presentations online. The two departments—the College of Built Environments and a School of Oceanography lab—are experimenting with using Google Drive to store massive amounts of data. They see it as a viable solution for scalable storage that can create significant savings for their units. Learn more.
