New tools compare UW costs for undergraduate students to other peer institutions

New dashboards in UW Profiles provide multiple ways to compare the cost of attendance and net price at the UW versus at other peer higher education institutions. The dashboards were developed through a partnership between UW Information Technology, the Office of Planning and Budgeting and the Office of Student Financial Aid.

UW Profiles is a set of web-based dashboards designed to provide University decision-makers with a dynamic way to easily access, explore, and understand UW data.

The new Cost of Attendance Peer Comparison Dashboard displays the estimated cost for tuition, books, and living expenses for UW undergraduate students and compares these estimates to equivalent costs at peer institutions.

The Net Price Peer Comparison Dashboard displays the UW’s net price — the average yearly price for first-time, full-time resident undergraduate students after deducting student aid — to peer institutions.

In addition to launching the two new dashboards, this release also updates the underlying data for the nine other existing Peer Dashboards.
