Resilient, high-performance internet access for 1.5 million students is ensured, thanks to a major upgrade to the K-20 Education Network that connects classrooms across the state. The K-20 Education Network is a state-funded, high-speed broadband network with locations in every county, serving school districts, tribal schools, colleges, universities and libraries. UW-IT, which provides operations, engineering and 24X7 support for the network, helped replace approximately 330 aging edge routers at K-20 locations state-wide in a mere three months last summer.
