Academic Technologies supports desktop computers installed in a number of general assignment classrooms.

Available To

  • Faculty, Teaching Assistants, and Researchers in conjunction with state-supported, credit-generating courses.
  • Faculty, Staff and Registered Student Organizations (RSO’s) in conjunction with pre-arranged, fee-based activities.

Benefits

Computers are transforming teaching and learning by helping instructors engage students in new ways. Academic Technologies maintains installed desktop computers in select classrooms for courses, presentations and events.

  • Support for Academic Technologies managed desktop hardware and supported applications used in conjunction with AV presentation systems in teaching and learning spaces.
  • Maintenance and security updates for operating system software and supported applications.

Requirements

  • UW NetID Logon
  • Valid UW budget required for paid services.

Cost

  • No cost for credit-generating teaching activities.
  • Valid UW budget required for paid services.

Getting Started

  • Instructors and Teaching Assistants may use their UW NetID to access classroom computers for credit-generating teaching activities. Room and equipment charges may apply to other users.
