This unit is responsible for:

The development and management of the broadly used technologies and tools essential to UW’s day-to-day research, teaching, learning and administrative activities. These central technologies and tools are available as Service Offerings in the UW-IT Service Catalog and include data centers, servers and storage, identity and access management, phones and voice, network connectivity and Wi-Fi.

Each Service Offering team:

  • Builds and delivers relevant, cost-effective services
  • Designs services for ease-of-use, ease-of-delivery, and ease-of-operations
  • Ensures reliability and continuity
  • Measures and reports on service performance
  • Plans for the future by tracking the needs of the UW community along with the emergence of new technologies
