They are deeply vested in student success, from the moment students enter their first classes to when they leave with their diplomas, and long after — and that is true for those of us in the Student Program.
We work in the background with multiple partners to ensure that critical services such as maintaining the Student Information System for registration, admissions, student records, financial aid and administrative applications run smoothly.
We also administer tools used directly by students, such as MyPlan, and Curriculum Management for administrators and faculty members. Our goals are multi-fold: build meaningful partnerships with every group dedicated to improving the student experience, inside and outside the classroom, continue to provide the very best tools to ensure their success and offer a seamless experience for students and those who support them.
Some of our partners: Office of the University Registrar, Student Financial Aid, Student Fiscal Services, Undergraduate Admissions, Transportation Services, UW Educational Outreach, the Graduate School, Undergraduate Education, UW Bothell, UW Tacoma, and other student services offices.
What we do:
- Develop and maintain the enterprise administrative applications that support the UW’s student administration business processes as well as self-service applications for prospective students, current students and alumni.
- Maintain the Student Information System (SIS) for registration, admissions, student records, financial aid, and Administrative Applications.
- Focus on shorter-term efforts to deliver high-value enhancements that improve efficiency, including developing MyPlan, the student academic planning tool; Curriculum Management, which provide a streamlined electronic course and program review and approval process.
- High-level goals: modernize operations in Seattle Undergraduate Admissions and the Office of Student Financial Aid.
