Interaction in Active Learning Classrooms
The quality of classroom activities—rather than the field of study or the classroom format—determine the caliber of interactions and learning, according to initial findings from research conducted by Odegaard Undergraduate Library and UW-IT. UW Libraries now has published profiles of four instructors teaching in Active Learning Classrooms (ALCs) in Odegaard who were involved in the research. The brief profiles include a “day in the life” of the ALC course in action, student and instructor reflections on the experience, and best practices for achieving active learning goals.
