E-Resource: Caribbean Studies in Video: The Banyan Archive

Caribbean Studies in Video includes more than 1,000 hours of video that document the past 40 years of Caribbean life and culture. The collection — brought to you by the UW Libraries — features original Caribbean films and TV shows. Listen to interviews with artists like Derek Walcott and V.S. Naipaul and political activists like Aime Cesaire. Watch documentaries on cultural practices such as Trinidadian stick fighting and the Hindu Goddess Kali worship and watch carnival, calypso and steel band performances or enjoy theater and dance performances.
