Overview

The Zoom app for Microsoft Teams allows you to utilize your Zoom account within Microsoft Teams.

Installing the Zoom App for Microsoft Teams

1. Open a browser (e.g. Chrome) and login to Microsoft Teams with your UW NetID credentials.

2. Click the ellipsis (…) on the left sidebar, enter “Zoom” and click the Zoom entry at the top of the list.

3. Click the dropdown arrow to the right of the “Add” button and click “Add to a team”.

4. Select a channel to start using Zoom meetings. Zoom meetings will be available for the entire team, but you can start using it in the channel you choose.

Pinning the Zoom App for Microsoft Teams

Unfortunately, “pinning” the Zoom app for Microsoft Teams in the left sidebar is currently unreliable. This functionality in Microsoft Teams is still rolling out and should reach stability once it is fully launched in the next few months. For more information, click here.
