Tyler Preder, a telecom design engineer in UW Information Technology, was recognized with a UW 2020 Distinguished Staff Award. Among his accomplishments, Preder was honored for developing a spam call-blocking application. The application has blocked over 2.5 million suspected spam calls, saving the UW thousands of hours in potential lost productivity.
