Beware of phishing attempts from senders pretending to have UW email addresses

Be wary of phishing emails that appear to come from an UW email address, asking you to verify your email address, then to click a link or download an attachment. Hover your mouse over links before clicking them to see the real web address. Forward suspicious emails (as an attachment) to reportedspam@cac.washington.edu. If you work in UW Medicine, also CC uwmed-abuse@uw.edu. For more information on how to report a phish and what to send, visit the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer website.
