Report Update: Time Schedule Information

The Report Prioritization Group released important updates to the Time Schedule Information Report. This post summarizes those changes.

Change Summary:

  • In response to user inquiry, we investigated and updated the data source for the “students denied” field in the report.
  • Based on input from the Office of the University Registrar, the report was updated to source students denied information from the sr_unmet_request table, instead of the timeschedule.students_denied column.

Report Update: Research Budget Expenditures

Enterprise Reporting and Analytics has partnered with the Office of Research Information Services to release several updates to the Research Budget Expenditures Report. This post summarizes those changes.

Change Summary:

Based on user feedback, we made the following changes:

  • Budget Name Filter: An optional filter was added to the report that allows users to filter the report by budget name.
  • Org Unit Nbr Column: The column previously displayed an organization’s 7 digit department organization number. The column now displays the full 10 Digit Financial Organization Number (Organization Code).
  • Column Sort: You can now sort many of the columns in the report with the click of a button and without having to export to Excel. The sort feature works by clicking the two opposing triangles in the column header row.

Report Update: Class List By Curriculum Course Section

The Report Prioritization Group released important updates to the Class List By Curriculum Course Section Report. This post summarizes those changes.

Change Summary:

Based on user feedback, we made the following changes:

  • Added Pending Major  into the report.
  • Added Pending Major Effective Quarter to report.
  • Fixed minor campus display bug at the report footer information.
  • Updated definition at BI Portal Interpretation tab with added fields.

Report Update: Learning Spaces Policy

The Report Prioritization Group released important updates to the Learning Spaces Policy Report. This post summarizes those changes.

Change Summary:

Based on user feedback, we made the following changes:

  • Bug Fixes:
    • Fixed a bug that was causing the report to drop sections with a null in time schedule meeting time.
    • Also removed 250 clause. These classrooms are part of Learning Spaces Policy, and has to be scheduled directly with the TS office.

Report Update: SEVIS Immigration Reporting

The Report Prioritization Group released important updates to the SEVIS Immigration Reporting Report. This post summarizes those changes.

Change Summary:

Based on user feedback, we made the following changes:

  • Bug Fixes:
    • Fixed a bug that was causing the report to display incorrect enrollment information for students who had withdrawn or who had low scholarship

Report Update: All Applications

The Report Prioritization Group released an update to the All Applications. This post summarizes this change.

Change Summary:

    • Running Start field is added by request from UW Bothell Institutional Research.
      • Running Start – an entry in this field indicates the student is in the running start program. A student enters this program in high school and takes community college courses beginning in the junior year. They apply through their high school and the courses count toward high school graduation and as college credit. Must be WA state resident attending a WA state high school and a WA state community college. A student can graduate from HS with their AA. The fees for this program are paid for by the state.

New Report Release: Study Abroad Students by Unit Report

The Report Prioritization Group is excited to announce the release of the new Study Abroad Students by Unit Report.

Summary: 

We are offering a new reporting tool on the BI portal that provides information about engagements in study abroad programs by students from your college or department.

The new report combines UW Study Abroad data with other EDW data for an easy to filter view of study abroad students and their program information. You can filter reports by academic year, college and department, as well as study abroad duration.

To run the Study Abroad Students by Unit Report or any report on the BI Portal, you will need permission to access data in the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). If you do not already have EDW access, follow this link to the enterprise data site to find your authorizer and request access.

2019 Biennium Crossover: EDW Data, Reports, Cubes

On July 1, the University of Washington entered the 2019 biennium.

EDW Data

‘CurrentBiennium’ now refers to 2019 biennium data.

Cubes

The Financial Activity 2019 Biennium cube was released this week. The EDW now supports financial cubes for 7 biennia, going back to 2007. The 2017 Biennium cube will continue to refresh until August 1, 2019, then will be frozen.

Report Update: Undergraduate Eligible to Register (Major/Minor Filter)

The Report Prioritization Group released an update to the Undergraduate Eligible to Register. This post summarizes those changes.

Change Summary:

    • The Major / Minor report  filter now list values for students Major and Minor.

Report Update: Student Grade Report by Major (Gender Filter)

The Report Prioritization Group released an update to the Student Grade Report by Major. This post summarizes those changes.

Change Summary:

  • “Gender” Filter updated with an option to display blank values to:
    • include students who do not have a value in a gender field, i.e. it is blank
    • and to be consistent with other reports that have an option of a blank value
