Export a Grade Book to Excel
You can export a grade book to an Excel spreadsheet and download it to your desktop computer for editing, printing, or archiving. The Excel spreadsheet includes both the grade sheet with student scores and the sheet containing detailed student information.
You can choose to export the entire grade book, or just the current, filtered view of the grade sheet.
To export a grade book, follow these steps:
- From the Catalyst account page, click the name of the grade book you want to export. You will move to the main view of the grade book.
- Click Export or Import, which is at the top center of the grade sheet. The drop-down menu will open.
- Select Export and then choose either Entire grade book or Current view of grade sheet.
Tip: If you do not wish to include dropped students in the export, deselect them from the Students menu, and then export the current view of the grade sheet.
- Depending on your browser settings, a “File download” dialog box might appear prompting you to open or save the file. Click Open to view the grade book contents, or click Save to save the file to your desktop computer.
Tip: When the Excel spreadsheet is first opened, the score sheet will display by default. To navigate between the score sheet and the student information sheet, use the tabs located at the bottom of the Excel spreadsheet.
