  • Did You Know? You Can Access Your Year-End Tax Forms Earlier in Workday

    With Workday, you can access your tax forms online two weeks before paper tax forms are mailed. In addition to providing a more secure – and quicker – way to receive your tax filing information, going digital and opting out of paper tax forms helps the UW reduce time and money costs. Opt out of paper forms now with these simple steps.

  • Google offers two new options to access, sync G Suite Drive files

    Use the new options – Drive File Stream and Backup and Sync – to access and sync your Google Drive and Team Drive files. These two options will replace the old Drive sync application, which Google will no longer support beginning December 11, 2017. With Drive File Stream, you can access Google Drive and Team Drive files from your desktop. Backup and Sync syncs files on your Google Drive with the ones on your computer and backs them up on your hard drive.

    Get ready for Open Enrollment now by confirming your address in Workday is current; your address must be within your health insurance company’s network area. Attend a UW Benefits Fair on Oct. 31 (Health Sciences lobby), Nov. 1 (Harborview) or Nov. 2 (HUB ballroom), where you can learn about health plans, insurance and other benefit options and talk with health plan representatives.

    Learn from cybersecurity experts at this special event on Oct. 17 from 1 – 3:30 p.m. in the UW Tower Auditorium. A research scientist at the IT security company, Sophos, will talk about the dark web – a hidden network of websites – and how easily tools for a cyberattack can be acquired there. And a security and digital forensics instructor will share “tales from the trenches” about his experience in security and computer forensics. RSVP to and include the event date in the subject line.

  • Learn how to share and reuse Panopto videos on Oct. 18 at noon

Panopto allows easy recording and reviewing of videos from courses, lectures, and presentations.   • Need to add inflation adjustments to your data analysis? EDW can help

    Users of the UW’s Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) can more easily include inflation adjustments in their analyses of dollar amounts over time with Consumer Price Index (CPI) data now built into the EDW. The EDW integrates information from many sources across the University into a central repository, and stores current and historical data that are used to support operational reporting and strategic analysis.
